Why Safe Transport Matters: Eukai’s Road Safety Commitment

At Eukai, transport isn’t just about infrastructure. It’s about people. Every journey should end safely, and we’re committed to making that the norm, not the exception. Though close tragedies, our team appreciates the direct and far-reaching implications of a life lost on our roads.

That’s why we’re proud to share two important milestones that formalise our dedication to safer roads. Eukai has been officially accepted onto the TAC Road Safety Services Register, making us a trusted partner in delivering better outcomes for Victorians. We’ve also joined the Australasian College of Road Safety (ACRS) as a Bronze Corporate Member, giving us a voice in national safety discussions.

These partnerships strengthen what has always been core to Eukai’s approach. A deep, practical commitment to protecting lives through smarter, safer transport.

What Safety Means at Eukai

Eukai’s Safe Travel Policy reflects our belief that safety is everyone’s business. While we don’t operate a vehicle fleet, our team travels — by car, train, bike, and on foot. Our policy backs this with real-world support: time-aware planning, fatigue management, and guidance for distraction-free travel.

We stand behind the Towards Zero vision, the objective to achieve no deaths or serious injuries on Australian roads. To help make this a reality at EUKAI, we commit to:

  • Supporting fatigue management and alternative travel for long trips

  • Encouraging public and active transport among staff

  • Maintaining strong reporting, compliance, and a culture of care

Safety is never static. It’s about culture, systems, and constant improvement.

Embedding Safety Into How We Work

From field visits to office ergonomics, our Health and Safety Policy supports every Eukai team member. We carry out Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) for site activities and embed mental health support across our operations. Emergency preparedness, staff training, and wellbeing initiatives aren’t just policies — they’re how we show up for each other every day.

Our team culture is built on trust, shared responsibility, and meaningful action — because technical expertise only matters when it’s backed by care.

Driving the Conversation Forward

Joining the ACRS connects us to national policy forums, working groups, and the Australasian Road Safety Conference. This means our expertise, spanning strategy, precinct planning, design and engineering, contributes directly to shaping smarter, safer policy.

We’re here to engage, share insights, and collaborate with others who believe in safe systems thinking. Because impact happens when action and advocacy come together.

What’s Next?

Being listed with TAC and becoming a member of ACRS isn’t the end. It’s a new beginning. One step and show of support that reinforces Eukai’s belief that safe travel is foundational to thriving, connected communities.

We’ll continue to lead with integrity, grounded in evidence and driven by purpose. Because road safety isn’t just a technical outcome, it’s a shared responsibility, and a chance to create lasting change.

At Eukai, we don’t just deliver solutions. We help shape the conversations and systems that make them work.
